Our trip in Switzerland
part 7

My favorite Oeschinensee

We went to the station to check the train time table and the opening time of Gepack. We asked an officer to give us the timetable. But suprisingly enough, he began to write down the timetable.
We decided to have our baggage sent this day.
We returned the hotel and asked the hotel owner to take us to the station with our baggage. The owner was very kind, so he took us to the station immediately.
After sending our baggage, we went to the restaurant closely related to the hotel where we stayed. We heard from the hotel owner we would get discount price here.
There was a special menu for Welsen guest.
We could choose either meat or fish and we choose fish.
The menu was bean soup, salad, sole, and zuppa cake. It was delicious and very reasonable. We were very satisfied.

8/30

This day we left Zermatt for Montreux. Toshi looked happy, because he could visit Oeschinensee where he really wanted to visit.
To take the 8:10 train, we went to the dining room at 7:30 sharp. The hotel owner instead of his wife served coffee. We had breakfast immediately and checked out. We told him we had a good time at his hotel.

And then, we just had a knapsack and went to the station. We got on the 8:10 train and saw the other truck "Glacier super express train " stopping.
One hour late train might be it, but we didn't have enough time to wait for it. We left for Brig.
It began to be raining. We had fine days all the time here Zermatt.
We arrived at Brig 9:33am and took the 10:00 train bound for Bern.
We got off Kandensterg.

Quiet lake?

The weather was getting worse and dark. Near Kandersterg, the weather was getting a little better. We got off Kandersterg and began to walk to the chair lift station.
It was a small village, but there was a bank near the station and we could exchange Japanese yen into Switzerland Franc.
On the way to the lift station, the rain was heavier and it was very bad.
We were worried about a lift which we could take.
We took it during raining ,but the weather was getting better and finally it stopped.
When we traveled, we had fine weather almost all the time, because toshi is fine weather person?

Ten minutes ride took us the trail entrance to Oeschinensee. It was thirty minutes walk from the entrance to the lake.
There was a lot of cow and we heard cow bell ringing. We had very comfortable hiking.
We began to have great nature view. Oeschinensee looked like the lake Moraine in Canadian Rocky. Very mysterious and great . We expected the quiet lake, but elementary school boys and girls visited here and they were swimming.
