After we took a rest at the Riffelberg restaurant near the station, we went down to Zermatt and then walked along the river in the Zermatt town to gondola and a rope-way to Schwarzsee.
There are many fancy hotels filled with flowers. Zermatt is famous for the base of the Matterhorn and full of tourists. Also, there are many Japanease people.

We bought round trip tickets for Schwarzsee. We could get discount tickets , when we showed the Swiss Flexi Pass.
At first we went up to Furi and changed into the rope-way to Schwarzsee.
We got a 360°panoramic view. Mt. Monte Rosa is near here and looks like a rose in full bloom.
That's why Monte Rosa is named. Where is the lake? We were trying to find and go down the trail, but we could not see soon. We changed our mind and went up the slope, and then we found the Schwarzsee.
At the restaurant we bought a sandwich and a cup of vegitable soup and took a rest. We decided to walk down from Furi to Zermatt and went down to Furi by a rope-way.

Furi to Zermatt / About one hour easy walking course

There is a sign of hiking course from Furi. We went down following the sign. On the way, there were two courses and we chose the road on the left direction.
This course continues to go down and shows us a full of flowers. There are cafe shops on the way.

We returned the Zermatt station on foot and went to Gepack in order to pick up our baggage. We were asked to go out and enter the other entrance, but the door was locked. We needed to push the buzzer. We could pick up our baggage finally and made a phone call to Hotel Welschen where we would stay for 3 nights. There were free telephones for hotels equipped in the station.

The owner of the hotel picked up us by a electric car and carried our baggage. There was a little trouble. We had a schedule of 3 nights stay, but travel agency sent the Fax which described 4 nights from yesterday to the hotel.
The owner thought our reservation was cancelled and our room was occupied, but he arranged a chalet with a kitchen which was another building.
There was own yard and wide space, but only shower.
We took a rest in front of yard and looked up the Matterhorn.
After taking a rst, we took a walk in the Zermatt town. We found COOP. It was fun to go shopping at a foreign cuontry.
